Kristi + Steve || Engagements

Last fall, I was graciously given the opportunity to photograph some engagement photos for some friends of mine, Kristi and Steve. Steve and I went to high school AND attended UW-Madison together, so we've known each other for a long time. I can't tell you enough how fun it is to be apart of this time is people's lives, especially when I can call them good friends! Kristi is an amazing person. She is perfect for Steve in every way! Their engagement session took us to the Nicollet Island Pavilion area, and the weather was perfect. Their pup, Hank, even enjoyed himself! These pictures perfectly describe how much fun and in love these two are and I can't wait to capture their wedding in June! It'll be here before we know it!

Tessa + Andy || Maternity

This is Tessa and Andy. Tessa is one of my very best friends. She and I went to nursing school together and started our careers together in Madison, WI. Although we now live 4 hours apart, I can never pass up the opportunity to get out to visit her, her husband and their puppies; ESPECIALLY when it calls for taking maternity pictures!! I still can remember her phone call so vividly telling me she was pregnant. And it was at my wedding that she was finally showing a little pregnant belly through her bridesmaid dress! I can't tell you guys enough how much I love this couple and how evident their love is for not only each other but (at the time) that little baby on the way! We had a blast running around Lake Monona.... you can barely tell it was absolutely FREEZING outside! They were troopers, and I know that they are going to be the best parents!

(P.S.  Baby William came into the world in March, exactly on his due date! He's so handsome!)

The Douglas' || Family

Today, I thought I'd do a throwback to last Holiday season when I captured my very good friends, The Douglas Family! Since the winter we have had was beyond miserably cold, Lauren came up with the idea of doing more of a lifestyle family shoot in their home! I'm always nervous about shooting indoors, but I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! But how can you not love a shoot that has coffee and good company? Today, I'll be doing another session for their little baby boy who is already 8 months! I can't believe how time is flying!
